Alkohol a nemoci z něj – anglicky
Alcohol, faithfully ethanol or ethyl alcohol, is the most socially accepted addictive drug. Drinking of the alcoholic beverages incur the abuse of alcohol and can have life threatening health hazards as secondary outcome of extremely drinking of alcohol or alcoholism. Nevertheless, it is pleasures are very widely acknowledged, and form a bond of community for the majority of adults, which is unconditionally valid in the Czech Republic. Unfortunately, alcoholic beverages understand as a standard part at social gatherings, and those who refuse to consume alcohol run the risk of being community outcasts. (www.benbest.com)
In the Czech Republic is a consumption of alcohol immoderate high. Consumption of alcohol appurtenant to highest in the world (the Czech is on the third place). In the recent years is the

value around 10 per cent of pure alcohol per one inhabitant and year[1]. This number, for example in 2000, included 8, 3 litres of spirit, 16, 1 litre of wine and full 159, 9 litres of beer per caput and year. Quantitative data from 2004 stating that half of 100 per cent of alcohol is consume in the beer and in the 2005 it was already more than half of 100 per cent. One fifth of the population, it is more than 1, 3 million economic active inhabitants of the Czech, drinking risk or harmful way. Two per cent of the population should be dependence on alcohol, accordance with the carload of drank alcohol. The Czech Republic is the country with the biggest consumption of the beer per one inhabitant in the world. (www.plbohnice.cz)
Highest consumption of alcohol bears number of an economic and social problems, for example, unemployment’s and divorces, and many others seriously health dangerous, for example, cardiovascular disease, chronic pancreatitis or even cancer. Illnesses coherent with drinking of alcohol beverages are a great many, whether is the alcohol primary or secondary factor of the ailment. I would like to speak particularly about peril of the sarcoma. In this case is concerned:
- buccal cavity cancer,
- cancer of the oesophagus,
- cancer of the liver,
- cancer of the colon and the rectum, etc.
Especially the last one is the big problem for the Czechs, because the Czech Republic is the country with the highest occurrence of the colon and rectal cancer as far as back since beginning of 1990’s. This illness is typical for advanced countries. The occurrence of colorectal cancer, which is also called colon cancer or large bowel cancer and includes cancerous growths in the colon, rectum and appendix too, causes not only new foods tendencies (includes enhancement drinking of the alcohol), but also “modern” life still without physician activities. (www.strenvi-zanety.cz, www.plbohnice.cz)
In the Czech Republic in year 2001 was diagnosing of 7 000 new cases of the cancer in this locality, more accurately: male 83, 87 per 100 000 and female 59, 14 per 100 000 inhabitants. In the last years, is in the Czech diagnosing about 3 000 new cases of the colon cancer and about 2 600 cases of the rectum cancer each year. The colorectal cancer is in the Czech secondary most frequently cancer ailment. (On the first places are lung cancer by the male and breast cancer by the female.) In the same time is the Czech Republic country with the biggest consumption of the beer per capita. In the year 2002 it was 159, 9 litres beer. (www.portal.cz, www.plbohnice.cz)
It is establishment that the alcohol increases a risk of the colon and rectum cancer in itself. Nevertheless, some studies showed that is possible to exist of a connection between the colorectal cancer and drinking of beer. Danish author Pedersen with team ascertained an elevation risk of colon cancer. This risk is 3,5x highest in those, who has drank more than 14 standard glasses of the beer or more than 14 standard snifters of the spirit per week. Another research from 2002, in virtue of survey more than 500 persons, signed beer like the risks factor of an inception of the cancer in the bottom of colon and the rectum cancer. Very interesting is also another research from the year 2005. In this year were examining employees of the Denmark’s brew-houses, which have a privilege, drinking 6 standard glasses of the beer per day. Occurrence of the cancer was in this group was significantly highest than in the normal Danish population. Cancer was more frequent in the buccal cavity, stomaching system, and respiratory system, system urinary, in the colon and in the rectum. The authors of the studies ascribe this fact with effect of alcohol and with content carcinogenic nitrosamine. (www.portal.cz, www. blog.aktualne.centrum.cz, www.zdravotnickenoviny.cz)
These adverse trends in relation to the alcohol, also tobacco, lead to prognoses about increasing cancer mortality in the Czech Republic. On the one hand, fortunately, cancer of the colon and the rectum belong to good curable diseases, if they are diagnostic in the start-up phase. On the other hand, unfortunately, most of patients come to the doctor too late, when the change is for cure is very low. The public needs more information about the risks of alcohol and especially risks of beer in the Czech Republic. Feasible solution can be also increase taxes from the alcohol in the beer. This precaution could contribute to reduction drinking of alcohol. (www.plbohnice.cz)
