There are lots of types of sports and games. We can practise outdoor or indoor sports, in water or anywhere we want. Among outdoor sports belong golf, skiing (its cross-country, down-hill, slalom, ski-jump), sledding, windsurfing, fishing, climbing, hiking or tourism and horse riding. Indoor sports include – table-tennis, gymnastics, chess.
We have sports too, what we can play both outdoor and indoor. I mean ball games, tennis, shooting, skating,
There are also aquatic sports – water skiing, swimming, diving, water polo, yachting etc.

Ball games are popular all around the world – it’s basketball, volleyball, football, tennis, handball. In America is football know as soccer. During Autumn American Football, rugby and especially baseball are very popular in America. Millions of people like to attend matches, watch them on TV or listen to them on the radio and cross their fingers for their favourite team.
From Britain comes their origins sports. That is why Britain is sometimes called the cradle of sports. In Britain were invented rugby, modern game of hockey, cricket, darts, tennis and boxing. Golf has its origins in Scotland.
And in the end Czech Republic. I think that all our nation live in hockey and football. There are only few towns where aren’t any station or football pitch.
All states of world measure their power in international games. Among the most famous belong the Olympic Games. They are take place every four years. They divided on summer and winter parts which change once every two years. And other important sport event are Wimbledon, The Grand National, the World and European Championships.
- describe your attitude to sport
I like sport very much too, especially ball games. That is basketball, volleyball, football and mainly florball. I can play it every day. It’s for me relaxation both mental and physical part. In summer I like riding on bicycle, swimming and hiking. Sometimes I jogging but only with some friend because myself I haven’t any motivation and I give up it almost immediately. And in winter. I don’t like winter and that is why I dislike winter sports, but I like cross-country skiing.
