There are many types of jobs. For example, my mother works as a nursery for children in hospital. My father is a business man in big international company. My grandfather was working in factory and made batteries for cars. I would like to work as a clinic psychologist. For this job, I need an expensive and very hard education.

Freelance

You can work freelance and can be your own boss, but there are many advantages and many disadvantages. The advantages are that you are your own boss, nobody tells you what you should do, you can do what you like, but on the other hand, you must work for long hours and sometimes you haven’t go / don’t have weekends.

CV, job interview

When I haven’t got/ don’t have a job and when I need a job, I have to have a CV. CV is a document, where I have to write whole my life. For example, I have to write my education and my jobs.

Then I have to go to a job interview. Job interview is very important for getting a job. I represent myself and my preferences.

When I find a job on the internet, I have to write the letter of motivation (motivační dopis).

Manual and brain jobs

There are two main parts of jobs – the manual jobs and the brain jobs. This difference is also in education and in the salary. The salary usually depends on personal education and on the work experiences.

Manual

Now I’ll talk about the manual job. The education is shorter that the preparing for the brain jobs. In the secondary school, the longer education can last three years, for example: for the cookers, for electrician, mechanic, miner or fisherman, where you must have a graduation exam.

You can be employed (zaměstnaný) by a state company, and then you have usually smaller salary, because the state is a little bit poorer. On the other hand (na druhé straně) you can be employed by a private firm, then you sometimes have a bigger salary, than in the same job in the state company. But you can have longer working hours (delší pracovní doba).

Brain jobs

Now I would like to talk about brain jobs. In this case you must have always at least the graduations exams. Only graduations exams you need when you want work as a receptionist, in this job you must know foreign languages well, secretary, accoutre and nurse.

You can divide (rozdělit) brain jobs in four parts- in to economic sphere, the humanistic sphere, I think historian, languages teachers or theoretic, philosophers and many others.

In technique sphere this are, I think, architects, machines engineers (strojní inženýři), and many others

In economic sphere works managers and economists.

The last part is the natural science. There are biologics, chemicals, and doctors of medicines, mathematics, physicals and others.

The special kind of jobs are the arts jobs, I think actors, dancers, painters, sculptures and many others.
